I love being a health coach. I truly love working with clients and seeing the transformations that can occur. Helping people to take care of themselves is important to me; people feeling as good as they can be is important to me. As a health coach, I am focused totally on you. I support you to get in control of your own health and wellbeing and see where that “new you” can take you. You deserve it. 

I studied medicine and worked as a doctor and then as a university lecturer. I am a mum to 2 small kids and now I run a health coaching business. My underlying philosophy is prevention is better than cure when it comes to our health and wellbeing. I also feel that it doesn’t have to be complicated to achieve the health and wellbeing that you want.

I have had some ups and downs with my own health. When I started work, I lost a lot of weight as a result of the intense pressure and relentlessness of work, it’s responsibilities and stress. I ate a fair amount of rubbish, my diet turned to what was quick and easy and certainly not nutritious. I suffered anaemia and irritable bowel syndrome. I then experienced the chaos of bringing up young children and an almost changed personality as a result of sleep deprivation. I felt tired, lacking in energy and focus, and I wanted that to change.

I get it, I know life is busy. We have other people and responsibilities in our lives and, as a result, spending time even thinking about looking after ourselves is non existent. We slip to the bottom of the “to-do” list. I know this, because I was there. However, I have now realised that taking care of myself and my own health and wellbeing actually improves the life of the people I care for as well.  If I feel good, its not just me who reaps the rewards, my family and friends benefit too; they get a mum, wife, friend who is calmer, more patient and more present (most of the time, no one is perfect!). It genuinely feels great to be taking good care of my body, of setting healthy boundaries in my life and making the healthier choices because I want to. I feel more confidence, more clarity and freedom as a result. And now I would love to help you to do the same. 

How do you feel about getting to be the best version of yourself that is possible?

I believe:

  • achieving the health and wellbeing that you want doesn’t have to be complicated and it can be fun!

  • nourishment is about more than just food.

  • learning to listen to your body is a fascinating and vital process.

  • in curiosity over judgement.

  • doing things to improve your health and wellbeing is not selfish, but is empowering.

 

I believe:
